About John Lambert
Owner
John Lambert is the founder of BENCHMARK PDM in Pickering, ON. John completed his apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance at Fazakerly Engineering in Liverpool, England. After emigrating to Canada in 1973, he gained experience in the Aeronautic Industry and fiberglass manufacturing. He has held roles such as millwright, maintenance foreman, and training instructor, implementing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Quality Management (TQM).
In 1994, he started Benchmark Maintenance Services Inc. (which later became BENCHMARK PDM Inc.), specializing in rotating machinery installation & alignment services, training, and equipment sales. His training has benefited companies such as ArcelorMittal Dofasco, the City of Toronto, and Ontario Power Generation, as well as industries all over Canada including Oil & Gas, Marine, Steel, Energy, and more.
John also sits on the Advisory Board for the Mechanical Apprenticeship program at Durham College and contributes to the WG15 group that developed the AMERICAN NATIONAL STANDARD Shaft Alignment Methodology (ANSI/ASA S2.75-2017/Part 1), ensuring excellence in support and expertise across multiple industries.
