Over the last month or so, Mike Kruis – the Lead Service Technician at KSB Pumps Canada – has been traveling around Ontario to various customers that have their pumps installed at their facilities. These pumps are being newly installed or re-installed after having some work done on them. When the pumps are installed Mike uses his Easy-Laser E710 system to align the pumps shaft to the motors or moveable machines shaft. Below are just a few comments from Mike and also some of the feedback he’s received over the past month or two.

When the pumps are installed Mike uses his Easy-Laser E710 system to align the pumps shaft to the motors or moveable machines shaft. Below are just a few comments from Mike and also some of the feedback he’s received over the past month or two.

“Hey guys, the laser has been in action quite a bit the past few months. Last week we were aligning a steam turbine to one of our HGC pumps at an energy company in Courtice. They loved the thermal growth feature on the E710 for the turbine. The Millwrights at there were amazed with the laser and all the features. They took a few pics of the laser case and BENCHMARK PDM’s contact as they are looking to purchase a laser shaft alignment tool of their own. Every site I go on I get nothing but compliments on the E710.”

“Hi Guys, I just wanted to share a picture taken today onsite at massive pulp & paper mill in Dryden. I am currently onsite assisting with the installation of a recently overhauled (PHOTO – left) HG 31/5 multistage pump and had conducted the horizontal alignment and vibration readings with our Easy-Laser E710. I got a lot of positive feedback from the Millwrights here onsite on the E710 shaft alignment tool and all the extra features. Once the pump was fully commissioned we set up a test stand in the maintenance shop and I had given a demonstration of the E710 horizontal alignment feature. I also had the Millwrights onsite use the laser to align the motor to the pump within .0015″ (one and a half thou)!”

It’s always great to hear the feedback coming from your customers. In this case, BENCHMARK PDM and KSB are both hearing the good feedback their own respective customers. Mike continues to lead a top notch pumps service group over at KSB Pumps. Keep up the good work Mike!
